Constellation Workshops
A constellation is a way of representing a system, possibly a family or institutional system. In setting up a constellation we open ourselves to a knowing that may not otherwise be available to us. It shows us aspects of the system that may be new to us.
In a workshop participants are able to explore what lies behind some of their patterns and behaviour. We may be influenced by what has gone before, the experiences of previous generations. In uncovering what has gone before, and finding a point of reconciliation we find healing.
Those in the workshop who wish to set up a constellation will be asked by the facilitator to choose a person to represent themselves, and those relevant to the issue. We will then watch and listen to see what emerges. The process will be well held and safe. There will be opportunities for all to explore the implications of what they have seen and experienced.
I have attended a year long Constellation facilitator training with Albrecht Mehr, and have participated in other Constellation Workshops. I see my Constellation work as another way of helping people realise a greater awareness of the influences shaping them.
